Stanley Gatera is a born again and is a Father of 2 girls Angel Gatera and Lana Gatera was born in Uganda 25th Nov 1978 ,He started his Primary School Nakasongola and Wansalangi Primary School in Katooke.
He went to Rwanda studied there his Secondary School at Rwanda International Academy and then went to Gahini Secondary School and finished O level then wend to Kigali International Academy where he finished A level and returned back to Uganda in 2002 started to work in Mbale for five years.
2006 he went back to Rwanda and started journalism with Umusingi Newspaper but 2007 went back to Mbale worked there one year then went back to Rwanda 2008 and started working with Izuba Rirashe Newspaper while studying Journalism from University of Rwanda.
He finished the University where it was 2 years and he started 2010 finished 2012 .Aug 2012 he arrested and put in prison for one year and finished his sentence 2023 end of July .
He was married to Kanyana Janet the same year after finishing his sentence then he fled to Uganda since they wanted to arrest him again.
They gave their first daughter Angel Gatera in Uganda at Lubaga Hospital by July 14th 2024.By the same year November they went back to Rwanda and he continued hs work as a journalist and CEO of Umusingi Newspaper and Umusingi online TV .
He worked there until 2020 when he decided to come back in Uganda for good since in Rwanda Journalism was so hard as they wanted to arrest him most of the time because of his critic stories which the government never wanted.
By 2026 he separated with his wife Kanyana Janet and after COVID-19 AROUND April 2020 its when he came back to Uganda and continued his work as a journalist working in East Africe because he can write stories in Kinyarwanda and English and in Uganda there are many Ugandan banyarwanda which he adapted and started working with them and he is now a known Journalist in Uganda.
