Introduction

REFAC: Rwanda Education for All Coalition is a coalition of civil society organizations working for the promotion of quality basic education for all in Rwanda. REFAC endeavors bring together non-governmental organizations, media groups, researchers, human rights activists and other education professionals to advocate for quality basic education in Rwanda. Our Vision: A country where quality education is guaranteed for all. Our Mission: Insure free qualitative and effective education for all through the civil society advocacy.

 

In order to achieve this objective and fully meet the expectations of Rwandans who want quality education for their children, REFAC wishes to recruit a National Coordinator.

 

  1. Position: National Coordinator

 

Number of place: 1

Location: Kigali

Contract Duration: One year renewable

 

III. Required qualifications –        Possession of at least a Bachelors degree or its equivalent in social sciences. A degree in education sciences would be an asset-        To be of Rwandan nationality-        Have experience of at least three 3 years in the management of programs and projects-        Have a good knowledge of the educational system in Rwanda-        Master the accounting software program  like MS word, Excel ,  power point and others-        Be available immediately and able to work under pressure;-        Have the ability to manage team work with aptitude for collaboration;-        Be able to prepare projects for funding and do follow up –        Be Fluent in French, English and Kinyarwanda-        Be disposed to travel and stay a while in different parts of country

 

IV. Tasks and responsibilities –        Be responsible for the daily business management of REFAC.-        Prepare action plans REFAC-        Prepare projects and financial plans and submit them to donors-        Coordinate, monitor and evaluate programs and projects REFAC-        Manage REFAC partnership with public and private partners-        Prepare and execute REFAC budget as approved by the Board of Directors-        Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual reports REFAC-        Entertaining discussions with REFAC partners inside and outside the country.-        Preparing personnel contracts, and contracts with suppliers of various services REFAC-        Keeping updates staff records and control staff payroll-        Perform any other duties recommended by the Board of Directors   V. Composition and submission of applications The Applications must be deposited with a signed receipt to the Office of REFAC located at Muhima near the Hotel Okapi not later than Friday, 28 October 2016 at 5:30 pm  Applications should include the following:-         A job application letter addressed to the Chairman of the Board of REFAC specifying contacts of two referees,-         Copies of degree and certificates justifying professional experience-         A copy of the identity card-         A detailed and updated CV VI. Recruitment Procedure A pre-selection will be made on the basis of complete applications submitted on time. Only shortlisted candidates will be contacted for the written exam and an interview  VII.
